The Lake Camanche Fishing Report
December Issue, Week 2
December 10, 2013
This was a fantastic week for fishing out at Lake Camanche! Water temperatures have dropped to about 53 degrees and trout are biting just below the lake surface. Bank anglers are having the best luck using powerbaits and eggs while boat anglers are getting the best bite when top trolling with grubs or lures. Among the anglers we spoke with this week, green powerbait was definitely the most commonly used bait! Pictured above is Song Vang of Stockton, CA showing off the 7.81 lb. trout he caught in the North Shore Day Use Area on 12-8-13. Don Muraoka of Stockton, CA caught his first ever stringer of fish! A total weight of 9.20 lbs, Don caught this stringer of trout just off shore in the North Shore Day Use area. Don was fishing with green glitter powerbait and orange mice tails when he reeled in these fish. His biggest trout weighed in at 5.31 pounds! Other anglers who had some nice luck trout fishing this week were Joe Vargo, Christopher Samayoa, Photo #3 and Kayla Halizer, Photo #2.
