VEGA STATE PARK TO HOST ANNUAL HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE

COLLBRAN, Colo. - Vega State Park is inviting everyone to its annual Holiday Open House on Saturday, Dec. 14 and Sunday, Dec. 15 at the park's visitor center, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
The entire family can enjoy a delicious array of holiday refreshments and guests can make an ornament to take home. Pick a discount card off the tree and get up to 50 percent off any item in the bookstore, a great place to do your holiday shopping. Be sure to see the new items available this season.
"People can purchase parks gift certificates in any amount and annual Colorado State Parks passes make a great gift," said Vega State Park Manager Kedrick Robinson. "This is a beautiful park and we encourage everyone to come up and visit us for a fantastic holiday experience."
From Grand Junction, take Exit 49 off Interstate 70 to Highway 65 and travel approximately 18 miles. Turn left onto Highway 330 and travel 12 miles to the town of Collbran. Stay on 330 East past Collbran and travel 12 miles to Mesa County Road 64 6/10ths and turn right at the Vega State Park sign. Go 5 miles to the Park Entrance Station, then turn right and cross Vega Dam to the Park Visitor Center.
