Sorel Caribou Boots… keeping you warm when it’s cold -- Ice Fishing

Last year was my first year ice fishing in about 30 years. I had a great time, learned tons, and made plenty of observations. One of the things that I noticed was it didn't take long, even in mild icing weather for my feet to get cold, despite wearing double socks and decent boots. I vowed that this season would be different. After several days of research, asking questions, looking at reviews, I decided to give the Sorel Caribou boots a try this season.
I based my decision on the online reviews, word of mouth from fellow outdoorsman, price, and availability of my size. I placed the order and soon they arrived. Trying them on, I found the fit to be pretty much true to size, the quality looked good, all the seams were fully stitched and sealed, and they seemed warm. Very soon after, I made a trip to Granby, elev 8,000 feet or so to do some early morning fishing for Kokanee Salmon! The weather was bone chilling, and it had snowed.
I donned my new Caribou's, my bibs, coat and hat and headed out after the Kokes. Fishing and hiking for 6hrs, my feet stayed toasty warm, dry, and not sweaty. I have no doubts that these Sorels will keep me warm as I fish the coming ice this season and many more to come! Although they seem a bit heavy, they did not seem to tire my feet or legs. There is very good support of the feet, heels, arches, and the liner is soft and comfortable. One negative that I would have liked to have seen is straps or handles to pull the boots on with.
Overall, I think I made a good choice for me in these Sorel Caribou boots, and I look forward to using them this week as the temperatures plummet here on the front range and ice fishing draws closer!
Check them out online, or at retailers near you, I think you will like them as well!
Good fishing!
