Water Temp; 57 deg
Water Level; very low
Weather: clear and very windy gusting to 30 mph

The day started off with very high winds gusting to 30 plus mph. Gusts of winds were so strong it would pick the water up and seem like rain. There were 5-6 rollers right at the Marina, so we hid in the Marina for the first 3 hours. Finally the wind had let up enough to head out on the lake. We had missed the morning bite at this time. We fished 5-70ft deep all day. Dartheads, Senko's and Jigs caught fish all day. The good news is the lake has had a great spawn 2 years ago and it is beginning to remind me of Lake Oroville in that you can catch 40-50 fish in a day. Most fish are 1-1.5lbs not what you expect from this trophy factory. We did manage one good bite she was a 7.26 lb chunk! Fish were everywhere we went all day. A few times we would catch 5-6 fish in 5-6 casts in a row! The lake is very low, lower than Ive ever seen it! The water level is 30-40ft below the original dam. We ran up the river and it didnt take long to get to the end. The river is very low with little flows coming in. We need rain badly or this lake will end up in the yuba river!

Good Luck
Ron Howe
