Rancho Leonero

Water-79-80. Clear flat mornings, some afternoon breezes. Flat water fishable all week.

Air-Cooler, typical fall/winter weather. Highs in the low 80's, cool mornings Very pleasant weather.

Very light fishing pressure all week. The hotel has been sending out one or two boats a day. Very similar to last weeks fishing. With decent billfishing, a good Dorado bite, and very good inshore fishing.

Striped Marlin are spread throughout the bay, with most taken off the La Ribera bank, south to Punta Colorado. A few sails were released mixed with the stripers. Nice big Spanish mackerel have been by far the best bait for both the billfish and the game fish. Most anglers releasing at least one.

Dorado: Very spread, mostly schooling fish in the 5 to 12# range. Lots around, but slower than last week.

Inside: Lots of smaller Gallo's in the 5 to 20# class. The Sierra are wide open, first thing in the morning always best. Some nice Pargo taken this week.
