Nor Cal 90 Pro Am in January at Oroville
11-19-2013
RB Bass
November 18, 2013 by RB Bass
Hello All,
Jason Bubier here, Allison and I would like to give out some info about our NorCal90 Pro/Am in January. This will be a shared weight event. The Pro entry is $300 and the Am entry is $150. The big fish is included in your entry, and the Payback is guaranteed 90% of the Entry fees (both Pro & Am sides) will be paid back in cash at the ramp. Payback will be 1 in 5 places with Pro's fishing for 90% of their entry's and Am's fishing for 90% of their entry's. BigFish will payback 1 place for every 20 anglers (both days) with Pro and Am bigfish being separate. There will be a $20 membership fee for anyone not already a member of NorCal90 LLC. There will be an Entry cut-off date of December 28th, 2014. Your entry must be received by that day.
On top of the 90% cash payback we have also received some extremely generous sponsor donations from California Tournament Trails (CTT working man's Pro/Am circuit) and Dobyn's Rods. This will enhance the paybacks extremely well. CTT will sponsor the winners of both the Pro and Am sides of our event, with a free "Basic" entry (worth $300pro/$150am) to the CTT Lake Oroville Pro/Am on January 18th/19th, 2014, that is just 2 weekends after ours. NorCal90 will also draw a Pro and an Am's name randomly to receive a free "basic" entry to the CTT event as well. Both of these entry's will be fully paid "Basic" entry's into the event (these entry's do not include Memberships for CTT or Big Fish options).
Dobyn's Rods will be donating a Rod to both the Pro and Am that catch the overall big fish of the event (this is on top of the daily cash payback) for each side. I would like to thank both of these Organizations for making this possible.
Check-in/Rules/Pairing meeting will be held at Shakey's Pizza Parlor on Olive Hwy from 3pm to 4pm, on Friday, January 3rd. Dinner will be provided by NorCal90 at no extra cost to the Anglers (Pizza, Chicken and "Mojo" potatoes), salad bars and drinks other than water are available for purchase at the restaurant. "Anglers checking in between 4pm and 5pm will be assessed a $50 Late Penalty, after 5pm your entry will be forfeited and you will be disqualified from the event." We have a strict time frame to use these facilities and we have to adhere to their time lines. Launch locations and flight times will be announced at this time (totally dependent on water levels) and all rules will be gone over to answer any questions. All Pro's and Am's that sign up together will be guaranteed partner pairings for the event, every attempt will be made to get fishing observers for Pro's that cannot be paired, but it is not guaranteed (Observers fish will count for overall weight but not for the Pro's bigfish). There will be NO "off limits" period prior to the event, but participants must be off the water by 2pm on the Friday of Check-in/Rules/Pairing meeting to ensure ample time to get to check-in. Guides may not be hired by competitors starting December 1st, 2013 continuing through tournament days. All other rules will be up soon.
