Blue Ribbon Flies' Fly Of The Week
11-9-2013
Blue Ribbon Flies
This fly was originated by Jack Gartside over 30 years ago and it's still a pattern we turn to today. Lately we have been using this pattern in the Madison river in the stretch between Hebgen and Quake Lake. This is a very simple pattern especially considering some of today's articulated patterns that take numerous steps to tie. The simplicity is complimented by it's effectiveness, this is one of those flies that will never let you down.
