Wyoming Game and Fish Seeking Info on Pronghorn Poaching

Wyoming Game & Fish

LARAMIE - The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is seeking information on four pronghorn antelope that were discovered with wasted meat at the Laramie River Hunter Management Area.

The pronghorn were discovered around September 20. Only the back straps and heads or capes were missing from each of the animals. The rest of the meat was not removed from any of them.

"This is obvious waste of game meat and we're hoping someone knows something about these crimes," said North Laramie Game Warden Kelly Todd. Warden Todd is hoping someone comes forward with information that could help find the person or persons responsible for these crimes.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Game Warden Kelly Todd at (307) 745-4402 or Access Coordinator/Game Warden Jason Sherwood at (307) 745-5180 ext. 241. Informants can also call the Stop Poaching Tip Line at 1-877-WGFD-TIP (1-877-943-3847). Tips may also be reported online at http://wgfd.wyo.gov and by clicking on the Stop Poaching logo. Informants may receive a cash reward for tips that lead to a conviction, and can choose to remain anonymous.
