Fish Report for 10-13-2013

Strong Sacramento River Salmon Fishing Limits daily, to 34 pounds

Here's the latest fishing report from California fishing guide, Kevin Brock:

The king salmon season is still going strong. We are catching limits of big salmon up to 34 pounds every day, with lots and lots of fish and hookups.

In the Anderson area where we are fishing, it is not uncommon to see 50 big salmon jump every morning and land with a big splash.

The salmon are hitting very well on roe, but the Flatfish bite has been great too. T-55 Flatfish in pink/white or green/gold have been the hot lures lately.

Fishing for these big salmon on light tackle is a real thrill, because there is an excellent chance of a bite at any time, and it could be a monster salmon. When that rod dips down and the drag starts screaming, you'll know it's a good one, and the fight is on.

If you'd like to be the one holding that rod, I do have an opening next week on Friday, October 18. Just give me a call at 1-800-995-5543 to reserve it.

It's been an amazing season for both quantity and quality of salmon, and they are still biting very well. What great fishing!

Thank you,
Kevin Brock
