In looking back on the trip, it was definitely one of the tougher 10 day fall trips we have been on in quite some time. It seems we should have zagged when we zigged, and vice versa. We scoured the ocean for any sign we could see, but it wasn't time until the ocean was ready to let us reap some bounty. Our passengers didn't get upset at the lack of fish during those tough times, and they really appreciated when the fish rained on, which didn't happen frequently enough in this writer's eyes, but it is what it is. We just kept a good attitude and all hands up top scanning for some life. It paid off in a huge way as we finally found some willing participants to play along with us. The Porpoise, Birds and Tuna were really putting on a show. As the time started running out, we were able to look for larger Tuna, and our last stop was a lot of fun for crew and passengers. Of course, the wise guy looks up at Brook and asks :"Why didn't we come here first?" A tough trip, indeed it was. But we stuck it out, kept a stiff upper lip, and ended up with a true fall variety catch: Tuna, Dorado, Yellowtail, Grouper, Wahoo, and Marlin (all released). Most the passengers are talking about coming back for the same trip next year, so it feels like it was worth all the time spent looking. We had a great time, and it appears our patrons did too. ETA 7:30 am Saturday morning. "The Intrepid Team"
