We made a stop last night to make some squid for bait. It turned out to be the ticket in getting a bite as the candy out fished the dines 4-1 throughout the day. The hot bait was a live squid fished under a helium balloon about 4-5 swells behind the boat. It was loads of fun watching the nice grade tuna in the 50-70 lb class blowing up on the baits. The bite wasn't as good as the fish were showing, but we made a nice day out of it anyhow. We are now on our way up to Cedros Island to get in a few hours of Yellowtail fishing in the afternoon and then continuing up the line.
Young Noah Adams caught his first Tuna today and was very excited when the fish hit the deck. Tomorrow we will celebrate his 17th birthday. Happy Birthday Noah..
Special note: Hugs and kisses going out from Michael to Alex, I am having a great time honey!!
