Hi everyone... We departed today on our first trip of the season, an eight day fishing adventure. Everything went smooth with check in and with all of our guests arriving on time, we had the luxury of departing a little early. I have to say, it was great seeing some of our regular customers as well as meeting some that are fishing the Intrepid for the first time. The overall consensus of the boat from our new guests, they are very impressed. We put on our load of bait, beautiful 5 to 7 inch sardine, and cleared Point Loma under overcast skies. The afternoon was spent getting settled in, relaxing, and telling stories of past trips. Scott gave the tackle seminar today and discussed the gear and techniques we will be using over the first few days of the trip. We will be offshore the next couple days targeting bluefin tuna. Our three day weather forecast is 10 knots or less, we have a good load of bait, and a great group of anglers on board. Life is good on the Intrepid. Wish us luck, the "Intrepid Team".
