Hi gang. We departed on our Jim Bingham Memorial 7-day trip yesterday and cleared the point just after noon with a beautiful load of sardines. We are rolling south on this trip and had a very enjoyable day. The weather is absolutely beautiful and we had a great stop on 18 to 25 pound yellowtail this afternoon. These fish charged the boat and put on a good show for us. We picked up a few on the surface iron. Shortly after our yellowtail hit, chef Paul put out another spectacular dinner of tri-tip, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and for desert we had homemade cheesecake. Spirits on board are very high and we have big expectations of the fishing days ahead. The pictures attached are a group photo taken just before sunset yesterday of everyone toasting to Jim Bingham.
