Today was one of those special days out here for us. We found great fishing, very nice weather, and mother nature treated us to a showing of Orcas(Killer Whales). That in itself is a special moment out here on the high sea's. The Pod or Family of 5 had a large male, female, two younger whales and 1 very small new born. They showed their family bond when we drove up on them and they got split up with one of the younger ones. The Pod then surface again and waited until the last member got back with them, then all 5 of them surfaced together a couple of times as they headed away! It was a great feeling as we all watched the majestic creatures swim away in true family style. Our day started out right away with Yellow fin Tuna biting in the grey and they didn't slow down until we had our daily limits. Through in some nice Bull Dorado, a couple handfuls of Yellows and it was a fun morning. In the afternoon while we were hunting offshore, crewman Dave Taylor spotted a floating object out in the distance. When he got us close the sonar lit up and the ocean turned blue. The Dorado bite that we had this evening to finish off our day is something this group will remember for a long time as many had never seen this type of reckless, charging Dorado. When it was all over, well after the sun had gone down and we had all our lights on most of our passengers had all they wanted and were just enjoying the show. So, after picking up limits of the colorful Mahi we left them biting and swimming all around us, there were thousands of em! Tonight we will be along the coast trying for bait in the early a.m, the full moon has made bait making pretty tough, but we still have enough sardine to make it through the rest of the trip. Tomorrow we will try for some Yellows in the morning and back offshore as we make our way north. Wish us luck. P.S Where's Waldo.... "The Intrepid Team"
