With our final nights dinner of Fillet Mignon and Lobster Tails approaching here with-in the hour, we would like to take a minute to thank a couple of our big supporters. Avet Reels with their sponsorship of the Intrepid with the outstanding performance on these big Yellow fin and Seeker Fishing Rods. The combo of choice here on the Intrepid is the Avet Pro EXW 30/2 speed reel matched with a Super Seeker 2x4. That set-up is one of the most reliable outfits for giant Tuna anyone can use and is the #1 choice here on The Intrepid for Tuna from 150-350lbs. Giant Yellow fin Like the one Mark Shimozaki landed that taped out @314lbs have to be fished on the proper gear, Marks fish was landed with an AVET Pro EXW 50/2 speed reel on a Super Seeker 6463XXXX backed with 130lb JB Hollow Spectra and Seaguar 130lb Flourocarbon with a 10/0 7691 Mustad. If you plan on getting out here in the next couple of months and targeting these Giants then you need to get the right equipment for the job and no-one does it better than Avet and Seeker.. Rod and Reel Radio with Stan Vanderburg is always a great trip and a ton of fun. These guys really no how to have a fun fishing vacation and that's what this is all about! ETA 0500 Wednesday morning.
