Reminder: Deadline to apply for AZ Game and Fish Commission vacancy is Sept. 20

Individuals interested in applying for the 2014 vacancy on the Arizona Game and Fish Commission are reminded that the deadline to submit applications to the Governor's Office of Boards and Commissions is 5 p.m. this Friday, Sept. 20, 2013.

Interested individuals may apply at http://azgovernor.gov/bc/Application.asp. Applications must be received or postmarked by the deadline.

Governor Jan Brewer is seeking members who are well-informed and passionate about Arizona wildlife and its long-term conservation.

In accordance with Arizona law, no more than three commissioners can be from any one political party and no more than one commissioner can be from any one county. Current commissioners include two Republicans, one Democrat and one Independent, and they are from Coconino, Maricopa, Navajo and Pima counties. Therefore, applicants for this Commission vacancy can be from any political party but only from the following counties: Apache, Cochise, Gila, Graham, Greenlee, La Paz, Mohave, Pinal, Santa Cruz, Yavapai and Yuma.
