We decided to take advantage of the good weather forecast and start our trip offshore kelping. At daylight there was not a breath of wind and it took our mast man about 45 minutes to put us on our first kelp of the day. When we stopped, we were pleasantly surprised to have the entire vessel hooked up. There was a mix of 12-25lb yellows and 5-25lb dorado biting good. After the initial flash, we were stoked that they just kept on biting. We ended up doing extremely well on several kelps and a good time was had by all.

A smile says it all as Larry Deweese is assisted by chef extraordinare Paul Cloutier with his golden gift from the sea.
