Trophy Town!!!

Big Hungry

We cannot stress the advice of big tackle hard enough. The NEW LO-AN returned this morning with 2 fish weighing in OVER 120LBS!!!!!! In addition to those gorilla sized monsters, they had some smaller fish in the 50-70lb range as well. They were on a school of fish with some hanging for over 5 hours only to lose them without ever seeing color.

*BLUEFIN TUNA TACKLE*

On these schools of tuna, DO NOT BOTHER WITH LINE LIGHTER THAN 40LB TEST. You want to have at least one rig with 50-60lb line and it wouldn't hurt to maybe have an 80lb rig. Hooks can be 2/0-5/0 and paired with fluorocarbon will be your best bet at landing these not so gentle giants. 2 speed reels can make a world of difference. If your trip is overnight or longer, plan tackle accordingly.
