Anglers are catching small fish at South Lake, but the story behind the story is the fishing is slow

A few of the more adventurous anglers hiked down to the water and managed a few small fish, but overall it's pretty slow down there.

South Lake Landing is closed for the season due to the lack of water....a result of two poor winters and Los Angeles DWP's decision to take their full allotment of water during the summer. Quite unforunate to see unprecedented low storage levels at the lake.
