Good fishing again this week. A couple of slower days midweek, but overall the fishing has been outstanding. Lots of Humboldt squid in the bay. Commercial Squid boats are fishing every night, right in front of the hotel. The Calamari are keeping all the fish close. The Yellowfin are abundant under schools of Porpise. Bigger fish this week, with lots of 40 to 50#er's. A couple in the 100's. Boats staying with huge very spread schools of Porpise, are scoring limits of tuna. The bill fishing has leveled off, with most boats targeting bill fish releasing at least two stripers. Another big Blue week, all the hotel fleet has been releasing a couple a day. Big bull Dorado again this week. The smaller schooling fish weren't around this week. Bigger Bulls than we have seen all year are hitting the beach. 50# er's have been coming in daily. Most taken on trolled marlin lures. Inside the Roosterfish is normal for this time of year. Big Gallo's in the 40 to 50# range common. The light house has been very productive.
