Fish Report for 7-14-2013
Channel Islands gamefish counts on the rise!
7-14-2013
Mike Thompson
We have OPEN TRIPS departing every day targeting yellowtail, white seabass, halibut, calico bass and more! This past weekend saw some good counts on both the overnight and full day trips! Most of the fish caught on live squid, but a few on jigs and plastics too!
Overnight trips on the Pacific Dawn have had good numbers of seabass with a few halibut in the mix. Outer island bottom fishing for red snapper and lingcod has also been good.
Local island full day trips on the Pacific Eagle and Island Spirit have been getting yellowtail, white seabass and halibut. Shallow water fishing all day has also produced good counts on sheephead and calico bass!
