Fish Report for 7-8-2013

Landing update for the 2nd week of July

7-8-2013
Mike Thompson

Bass fishing has picked up this month with nice calico's coming in off the Island Spirit on a regular basis. White seabass and yellowtail are still here but no "big show" like since last Wednesday. Every day is different, so stay focused and prepared for anything.

Conditions are good at the islands.. Water temperatures are in the upper 60's and still looking good. The breeze has picked up this week, but nothing to worry about..

July is an exciting month in Ventura... You have a chance to catch white seabass, hailbut, yellowtail, calico bass, sand bass, barracuda.. or even sheephead, lingcod and red snapper! We are primarly fishing shallow so bring your lite bass rods, spinning rods and live bait rods.
