Yellowstone Guide Trip of the Week
6-30-2013
Craig Mathews
Christopher Folland sent us a few photos from his trip with Pope earlier this month here's what he had to say.
"We had a great day, aside from the storm that popped up about 330 in the afternoon and caused us to anchor up under a willow for protection. But the fishing was fantastic from start to finish (Lyons to McAtee) and we couldn't have asked for better fishing. We fished all day with a dry fly and nymph dropper and were HAMMERING them on a pheasant tail flashback with the no wings/legs (or cut them off if we didn't have the 'right' one). After the storm the caddis came out and they were taking our elk hair with a tan body. We probably caught 30-40 fish apiece, maybe more; we lost track."
