Lake Jennings is seeing Large Mouth Bass & Channel Catfish being caught but not quite limits

Helix Ranger
Hello from Your Lake Jennings:
Fishing was about the same as last week with both Large Mouth Bass and Channel Catfish being caught but not quite catching limits. Those fishing for bass did best at night and by boat. Catfish followed the same pattern with night time fishing doing better than day.
Best Cat Spots: Hermit Cove parking lot 1 & 2.
Best Cat Bait: Nightcrawlers and Mackerel
Best Bass Spots: Points in 25' to 30' of water
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Dropshotting morning dawn worms.
Water Temp: 76 degrees
Notables: 5 pound Large Mouth Bass caught near the boat dock but name kept anonymous.
Prognosis: The Supermoon did not seem to affect the night fishing this weekend but the lake aerator run times are changing and may change where the fish hang out during the day. This slight change may improve the fishing. Warmer waters should result in a better catfish bite.
Reminder: Starting next week June 28th Lake Jennings will be "OPEN EVERY DAY" until August 4th 2013.
Catfish Stocking Schedule: 1,000 lbs. the last week of every month thru August 2013.

Fishing is thru the roof at Lake Jennings -- Not
Lake JenningsHello from your Lake Jennings! Fishing was thru the roof!!!!! Unfortunately catching was stuck in the basement. The anglers that took home fish stopped at Vons on the way home! That is not to say that everyone got skunked. Someone always gets lucky or figures it out. The reasons catching was soooo poor: The winter solstice just occurred. The moon was full last night. An incoming cold front rolled in. The moon was dark last night. I brought the wrong bait. Best...... Read More
