Oregon Halibut Update through week 22 (June 2)

An anouncement will be made by noon on Friday, June 14 if enough quota remains for any Central Coast all-depth back-up dates to be open, first possible dates are June 20-22.
Columbia River Subarea:
There has been a total of 2,912 pounds landed. This leaves 6,604 pounds (69%) of the spring quota remaining. Average weight so far this season is 16.6 pounds. This fishery is open every Friday-Sunday.
Central Oregon Coast Subarea:
Spring All-Depth season--Through the May 30-June 1 opener, the total landings are 75,371 pounds. This leaves 47,995 pounds or 39% of the spring all-depth quota remaining. This weekend (June 6-8) is the last set of "fixed dates" remaining. An announcement will be made by noon on Friday, June 14 if enough quota remains for any back-up dates. The first possible back-up dates are June 20-22. The average weight from the all-depth fishery so far this season has been approximately 16 pounds.
Nearshore Season:
Landings from the nearshore through June 2 are 1,139 lbs., leaving 21,899 lbs. or 95% of the nearshore quota remaining. The average weight from the nearshore fishery, so far this season has been 19 lbs. The next nearshore opening is June 13-15.
South of Humbug Mountain subarea:
This fishery opened May 1, seven days per week.
