Just outstanding action today! Local fishing produced the first true surface bite of the year, with 187 slug barracuda hitting the deck. Island Spirit started the morning strong with 70+ cuda for 31 anglers. They moved out over the rock piles and caught a bunch of rockfish before coming back shallow to find cuda boiling around the boat! Hopes were high for white seabass known to be mixed within the cuda, but not today. Tomorrow they will try it again..
Pacific Dawn also had a great day at the outer islands.. after a less than stellar day on Saturday. They had 20 lings to go along with limits of quality reds and chucks, plus a few bonus fish.. sheephead, whitefish and cabezon.
