Bluefin Spotted as Shogun travels South
4-22-2013
Bill Roecker
Shogun is on her way to fish in deep southern waters. There was some excitement on the way down, as reported by the boat April 20.
"Our gorgeous weather conditions continued to bless us with a very comfortable ride today as we motored our way southbound. About mid-morning Captain Aaron hosted a detailed kite fishing/wahoo seminar, and most of the rest of the day was spent rigging leaders and top shots. Highlight of our day was shortly before lunch when we bumped into a large school of bluefin tuna. We chummed a few baits and never got a reaction but nevertheless this is a great sign as these fish were well within range of our upcoming 8- day trips in June. Let's hope there's much more of those to come!"
