The trout bite is good at San Pablo Reservoir & the Bass bite is picking up

San Pablo Reservoir

Lake Hours: 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM
Boats must be off the Water: 5:00 PM
Boat Launch Area is Open: 7 days a week with snacks and drinks available
Last Plant: 1,080 lbs. of catchable trout and 120 lbs. of Trophy Trout from Mt. Lassen on April 2nd. The Department of Fish & Game planted 2,000 lbs. of trout on April 3rd, 2013.
Water Temperature: Around 58 degrees

The trout bite has been good are were being caught from the shoreline near the main Recreation Area and across the other side at Sandy Point, Graveyard Cove in Scow Canyon, Bobber Beach and also from the shoreline at the Boat Launch. Rainbow, Chartreuse and Spring Green PowerBait have all been working well. If you want to use lures choose from Broken-Back Fire-Tiger, Panther Martins and Clowns are working for those who are trolling. The Bass bite has picked up for people using drop shots and top water lures as well as Chatter Baits.
