Three Quarter Day Yellowtail

Both the San Diego and the Pacific Voyager had nice yellowtail counts today on three quarter day trips. The San Diego ended up with 30 yellowtail and the Pacific Voyager had a total of 27 yellowtail. These fish are being caught in a variety of ways including surface iron, yo yo iron and some bait fish.
The New Seaforths half day trips have been catching some very nice bottom fish with an occasional yellowtail.

Captain Ryan Bostian of the 3/4 day boat San Diego reported seeing very large schools of Yellowtail today and landed 14. Most of today's fish were caught on the surface iron and a few on yo-yo'd jigs. The San Diego runs daily trips departing at 5:30am. Half-day trips are fishing for primarily bottom fish but a jig stick should always be at the ready. Thursday morning's run caught 107 Rockfish and 17 Red Rockcod for 47 anglers.
