Bass are more active at Lake Camanche with the warmer weather

GENERAL CONDITIONS
Lake Camanche's current elevation is 224.79 feet above sea level. The inflow from Lake Pardee is currently at 263 c.f.s. The spill is at 0 c.f.s. The outflow from Lake Camanche is currently 275 c.f.s. The lake is 82% full & the water temperature is 54'F degrees. Lake conditions are updated daily on EBMUD's website.

FISH PLANTS
Mt Lassen Trout delivered 600 lbs to the South shore ramp and 600 lbs to the South shore trout pond on Monday, March 18. Mt. Lassen has planted 15,000 lbs of trout at the lake in 2013.

BASS
Warmer weather appears to have bass more active. Since January we have had 3 bass weighing 12.31 lbs or more with our lake record weighing in at 15.2 lbs in January and another 13.66 lb bass caught in February. The luck o' the Irish touched Steven Anderson (pictured) of Burson when he caught a 12.31 large mouth bass in the South shore marina cove on a 6 lb line with a creator gig.

TROUT
For trout we have Reese & Barney Myrick of Acampo who caught a 3 fish stringer with their largest fish weighing in at 2.02 lbs while fishing at the North shore day use area using a gult. Dave Scott of Bakersfield caught a 6.25lb trout out by the Narrows while using a rapala lure. His trout measured 25.5" long.

Both stores are open 7 days a week.
Camanche Recreation Area is open 365 days a year. Gate hours are 5:00 am - 11:00 pm
