"Another fun day of quality Wahoo fishing," said the report from Intrepid March 6. "Everyone has several Wahoo in the holds and the hot sticks have 10 or 12 of the tasty game fish respectively. Wahoo are one of the most exciting species we target on these long winter trips with their lightening fast runs up and around the bow or their high jumping displays as they chase down a bait always are crowd pleasers. We are not seeing much in the way of big Yellowfin so far though. There is a little sign of smaller grade fish, but the big-uns are a no show so far. We will keep at it, and with a full week of fishing left down here in this zone, we are sure to get some. No complaints though, as we have boated 108 Wahoo and 50 Yellowfin on our first day and 3/4 along with some released Tuna as well. The fresh Wahoo dinner chefs Patrick Lawrence and Mark Pariano provided us with tonight, with a crushed almond crusted Wahoo, coconut sticky rice, fresh greens and a White Wine reduction sauce was to die for!
