The trout bite at San Pablo Reservoir has been excellent

San Pablo Reservoir

Lake Hours: 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM
Boats must be off the Water: 5:00 PM
Boat Launch Area is Open: 7 days a week with snacks and drinks available
Last Plant: 1,080 lbs. of catchable trout and 120 lbs. of Trophy Trout from Mt. Lassen on February 28th
Water Temperature: Around 52 degrees

The trout bite is excellent and they are being caught from the shoreline near the Main Recreation Area and across the other side at Sandy Point and Scow Canyon and also from the shoreline at the Boat Launch. Chartreuse, or Spring Green PowerBait has worked well for Trout as well as Mice Tails, inflated Nightcrawlers. If you are trolling try Broken-Back Fire-Tigers or Kastmasters.
