According to our local reporter for Puerto Morelos, Ms. Nayade Gamboa, the fishing is holding up quite well and the wide-spectrum mixed bag catches continue to provide fun fishing for the anglers. "Our boats reflected an 11 fish variety this past week for a total of 19 days fished that ranged from 4 to 8-hour charters and included 4 dorado, 6 giant Atlantic barracuda, 9 bonito, 13 Spanish mackerel, 12 king mackerel, 10 banana fish, 6 strawberry fish, 5 trigger fish, 4 soap fish, 11 snappers and 10 grouper". Our weather continue to be very good but we do have a slight chance for rain on Friday.

PM Climate: Partly cloudy days with temps that ranged from 59 nights to 86 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: Mostly a calm week with 5-10 mph surface breezes and light swell conditions. Winds to pick-up a bit for Friday, 10-20 mph and a chance of rain in the forecast.

Best Bait: Ballyhoo continue to be the bait of choice for this area and there has always been a good supply since our first day of reporting for this area. The freshly caught baits are provided by the bait catchers every morning and rigged/cut according to the type of fishing for the day.
