Trout: Excellent-Trout have been very active and many people have been fishing that day after we stock (Friday), Friday is a popular day for our park, as well as Saturday. We have a number of people who fish here every Friday and do very well. We get stock on Thursday, so we keep the lake closed that day for fishing.
Catfish: Slow- The action is tough for everyone with few catfish being caught by even experienced anglers.
Largemouth Bass: No reports
Crappie: No reports
Bluegill/Redear: No reports
Striped Bass: No reports
Carp: No reports
Other: Mojave Narrows will stock 1000 pounds of trout every Thursday until April 25, 2012; our last stocking was 11/29/12. We only allow shore fishing, no boats, you must pay $8.00 per person to fish (no matter the age) if you are 16 and older you must have a California State Fishing License as well, and you may pick that up at any sporting store (K-Mart, Wal-Mart, or Big Five) as we do NOT sell licenses here.
Important Information
Most people are using power bait, jigs, and meal worms. Please call the park before you arrive if you would like to buy bait from us, as we may not have the bait on hand at the time.
