BASS
Bass fishing slowed down a bit. We have only seen some nice ones come in. Majority of the fish reported were caught using trout pattern lures.
STRIPER
Stripers are still getting hit every day in the mornings and the trout stockings bringing them in. There have been boils all throughout the lake. Using lures in the rainbow trout and brown trout pattern have been extremely productive. Flies are also still producing some nice stripers. Jason Hoang from Fremont caught his first striper ever weighing in at 5.21 lbs using a Sammy lure.
CATFISH
There have been no reports of catfish this week. Typical bait for the cats are nightcrawlers, chicken liver and shrimp.
TROUT
Trout are still being caught. Adrion Contreras caught a 3.51lb and 4.25lb trout using jigs. Andy Acevedo from Hemet caught a stringer of trout weighing in at 9 pounds using panther Martin lures. Typically best bait is powerbait or powerworms for stocked trout.
PANFISH
Redear , crappie and blue gills have been missing in action. Most common bait is mealworms, redworms, and nightcrawlers.
