"We finally are back on line and will be able to communicate Yesterday we finished off with similar fishing as we had three fish over two hundred and some fish in the high hundreds up to 196 to go with that.
"It was tough fishing but with the chance at a big one. That made it nice. A lot of rail time paid off for the lucky angler, a lot different than the fishing we had out here the last couple of years. Less of that 80 to 140 pound grade but in this case more chances at big fish. "We have between 12 and 15 fish over 200 for the trip. First time cow-catchers took the prize this year and quite a few Red Rooster 200 pound club jackets will be handed out. It was a lot of work and the bites did not come easy.
"Chris Mohr won an Accurate prize, a Boss 600 reel for the first fish over 200 pounds. The fish taped out 202 but it made the mark on the boat and got the reel. There are other prizes throughout the day for first this and first that. Accurate products and Salas lures are given out as the fish hit the deck. We have a great Jackpot trophy this year that Gary Teraoka made up that will be going to Charlie Martinez for his 270-pounder."
