Personal Bests become commonplace for the Rpyal Polaris on the tuna grounds

11-15-2012
Royal Polaris Crew

Early in the day the Royal Polaris reported:

Our weather was quite nice today at Clarion Island. Our fishing on the other hand was scratchy. We caught 17 wahoo and 31 tuna. The tuna weighed 40 - 80 pounds with the largest one weighing in at 125 pounds caught by Don Crabtree.

We also caught another 50 tuna that were in the 20 - 30 pound class. The 50 smaller tuna are not included in the count as most were released with a few going to the galley.

And Later:
Good weather most of the day, with some heavy squalls late in the day. It was also a great day of fishing. We had 22 Yellowfin for the day from 100 to 246 pounds.

Personal best for Rod Jordan (230 pound Yellowfin tuna),
Kamahl Murry (234 pound Yellowfin tuna),
Jim Sullivan (202 pound Yellowfin tuna),
Tom Hartigan (235 pound Yellowfin tuna),
Charles King (125 pound Yellowfin tuna),
Jim Oates (207 pound Yellowfin tuna).

Marcus Bondy had a 241, 160, and a 130 pound Yellowfin tuna. Steve Nerio also caught a 130 pound Yellowfin tuna, for his personal best. Photos will continue, once we get a stronger signal, and hopefully we will have a good report tomorrow.

P.S. Photos will continue later in trip, low signal.
