Frank Ursitti looks back at some of his trips this season
10-16-2012
Frank Ursitti - Ranger 85
Having just returned for one of our final 2.5 day trips in San Diego, there could be no better way to wrap the season. Over the past few months I have written summaries of trips where I have
expressed how shaky the season started offshore, yet how it has evolved into one of the best we have experienced in years. We finish up with our final 2.5 day trip out of San Diego departing this
evening before heading north to fish the fall from Channel Islands Sportfishing.
We had the full gamut of weather on this trip and in the midst of all we managed to engage some big game as well. The anglers onboard ranged in experience level from first time to those in the industry taking advantage of the great fishing we have been so fortunate to have had. Thanks go out to all onboard especially those returning and to those who vow to return.
Just a few who come to mind...Malcolm, always great to spend a couple days with you, Bridget and family...we hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we enjoyed fishing with you Jim...you had a great trip. See you up north, Guy...keep it up...you are a true inspiration to all who strive to improve themselves...keep fishing hard Brian...it was great meeting you and thank you for coming as far as you did to fish with us Club...really nice to meet you...I look forward to fishing with you again Matt...your enthusiasm was and continues to be contagious...always great on a trip.
We have several multi day trips scheduled to depart from Channel Islands Sportfishing in the coming weeks. If water conditions persist, we may find ourselves offshore prowling around for more before winter comes knocking on our door. Stay tuned...
