Brian Evans docked Mike Keating's Spirit of Adventure at H&M Landing October 7 after an eight-day Bruce Davis trip. There were 18 passengers aboard, including Davis. They had a mixed catch with numerous large dorado included with the tuna and yellowtail.

Regular Terry Draper of Huntington Beach won first place for a 38.2-pound yellowtail. He told Roecker it bit a sardine on a 3/0 Owner Flyliner hook on 30-pound P-Line fluorocarbon and 65-pound Power Pro spectra on a Penn 12 T reel and a Seeker Black Steel 6470 H rod.

Lee Besse of Scotts Valley won second place for a 36.7-pound dorado. Jim Cummins of Scotts Valley took third place for a 34-pound yellowfin tuna.
