High Sierra Fire/Fish Report 07-08-07

Fires in Independence and Big Pine areas have essentially closed down access to the Eastern Sierra. Highway 395 has been closed down for extended periods of time. Very heavy smoke in the area. We were headed up there on Saturday afternoon and were turned back at Lone Pine. You should check on conditions before you head that way.
