WEEKLY WEATHER
North Shore & South Shore
Beautiful weather with highs in the mid to high 90's and lows in the mid to low 60's. Weather info courtesy ofwww.weather.com.
FISHING REPORT
Fall weather is already here, especially in the early morning hours. Cooler weather should bring trout closer to the surface and we project trout plants to start up again come mid to late October as long as the surface temperature of the water can stay at 69'F or colder to safely plant trout.
The North shore marina shared reports of trout limits from anglers out by the Narrows trolling in about 35 feet of water with night crawlers.
Have you ever seen trout being planted at the lake? Check out our Facebook page under "VIDEOS" and see clips from the last 2 years. Videos were taken at the North shore ramp. Congratulations to Camanche regular James Estes for catching a 9 lbs catfish out of the Trout Pond using chicken liver.
Catfish like stinky bait. Cut bait, chicken livers, cheese and night crawlers are some of the most common baits used.
