The CDFG and NOAA Fisheries have closed the commercial ocean salmon fishery

The California Department of Fish and Game and NOAA Fisheries have closed the commercial ocean salmon fishery between the OR/CA border and Humboldt South Jetty, effective 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, September 19th, 2012. The 6,000 Chinook salmon quota has been met. All salmon must be landed in the above area within 24 hours of the closure.
