BASS:
Bass bite continues to be good in all lakes. Water temp. is around 78 degrees. Reminder All Bass are catch and release.

CATFISH:
Catfish Season is still going strong. Next stock is due to arrive by the end of this week. Best baits for Catfish this year have been Mackerel, shrimp or mealworms.

BLUEGILL:
The Bluegill are plentiful in all 7 of the Santee Lakes.

TROUT:
Is it too early to be talking about Trout Season??

I heard a rumor that Trout Opening Weekend is scheduled for November 3rd and 4th. Make your Camping reservations now.

Recipe of the Week:

Cheesy Catfish

Ingredients
• 1 egg
• 1 tablespoon milk
• 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
• 1 1/2 teaspoons ground black pepper
• 1 teaspoon paprika
• 8 (4 ounce) fillets catfish
• 1/4 cup margarine, melted

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Beat the egg together with the milk in a medium bowl. In another bowl, stir together the cheese, flour, salt, pepper and paprika. Dip catfish in the egg and milk mixture, then dredge in the cheese mixture until coated. Arrange fish in a single layer in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour melted butter over the fish.
Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serves 8.
