Smallmouth bass are very active at Del Valle Lake

Del Valle Marina
Marina Hours: 6:00 am to 8:00 pm
Park Hours: 6:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Last Plant: On August 28th we received 500lbs. of Catfish from Mt. Lassen.
Water Temperature: 78 degrees
The water clarity is stirred up and stained. Fishing for smallmouth bass has been productive. Anglers have been pulling them in on jigs, artificial jigs and spinnerbaits. A large number of smallies have been brought in by trolling with panther martins and mini crank baits. Anglers have also pulled in large catfish with stink bait, anchovies and mackerel near the south end lower narrows and the Dam. Stripers have been brought in using soaking bait out of Heron Bay and the Dam.
