Bluegill & Stripers are hitting best at Lake Skinner, Catfish action slowed

The weather has been much better at Lake Skinner with temperatures in the 90's. Bluegill can be found at the Inlet/Dam area. They are hitting on crickets, mealworms and wax worms.

Stripers can be found at the East End hitting on nightcrawlers and plastics worms. Catfish were elusive this week. The main bait for the Cats has been chicken liver or nightcrawlers. The last stocking for Cats was on August 23rd, the next stocking will be on September 6th.

Weather: Temperatures in the low 100's with some humidity. Largemouth Bass: The best action is over at the East End. Bass are hitting on nightcrawlers and plastics. Striped Bass: The best action is early in the morning on mealworms over at the dam. Bluegill: Bluegill are hitting at t=either the Inlet or the East End on either mealworms or live crickets.
