Tough fishing day yesterday for the Royal Polaris
8-10-2012
Royal Polaris Crew
Hi Folks;
Weather was overcast today with relatively calm seas. l Fishing was quite tough today as we only found one school of BFT that boiled up quite well, but did not bite well. We landed 5 fish from 30 to 45 pounds.
The Bluefin fishing today was about 120 miles from San Diego and the Yellowfin were absent from the scene.
We are headed south and should start fishing around 08:00 hours.
The R/p crew.
Special Thanks:
We would like to give special thanks to Blackwater fishing lines, Calstar fishing rods, Salas Jigs, and Gamakatsu Hooks.

Frank LoPreste called in with this on the water report from the Royal Polaris, "We had a stop today where we landed 58 of those 35 to 45 lb. Yellowfin Tuna. It is a beautiful grade of fish. We also caught 15 Bluefin and a half a dozen Dorado. "The main reason for calling however is that we still have 1 opening on the 7 Day Trip leaving tomorrow morning at 10:30 from Fisherman's Landing. It is the Blackwater trip, if...... Read More
