8-8-2012
Channel Islands Sportfishing

With the sun out and the water warm, the seabass are still on the chew. Both the outer islands and local islands are producing some nice croaker counts. The Mirage has had luck all week with the biscuits putting 5 on deck today along with solid cod and ling counts. The full day boats got into the WSB action also with the Pacific Islander putting 14 seabass for 14 anglers on the boat followed by the Aloha Spirit with 5 and the Cobra with 4 for the day. The calicos are also on the chew; the Sea Jay and Island Tak worked the sport coats hard today mixed with a hand full of rockfish and 2 halibut for the Island Tak to round it off. The Gentleman had solid scored of rockfish today on their ¾ day trip and the Erna B also on a ¾ day had fun with the calicos. The Speed Twin got into some solid sculpin action putting 25of these tasty creatures on the boat along with good counts of rock cod and a few ocean whitefish and lingcod. Overall a great day with great weather and many happy anglers. Call the landing today to book your spot or simply reserve online. LETS GO FISHING!
