Hey anglers,
We fished for yellowtail, halibut and rock cod today and caught all three species. We didn't catch very many of each, but we had a good time doing it. There were signs of yellowtai halibut at Isla San Martin today and then north of the Island we caught some red rock cod and ling cod. The weather is fantastic with no wind and clear skies.

As usual on our annual 4th of July Izorline trip, we had a great time with a great bunch of guys. Traditionally we give an award to the best sportsman of the trip. This year's award went to Hal Guy of Canoga Park. Hal has been coming on this trip for over 20 years and he is a pleasure to have aboard. Tomorrow we will give an award for the largest fish caught on Izorline.

Looking forward to next trip and a repeat on the albacore fishing,
Capt Art

Hello Anglers, Today we fished 90 miles south of San Diego. There was some good fishing for several boats in this area today. Unfortunately we had to work for every fish. We ended up with 42 albacore and 1 bluefin tuna. The encouraging thing is the distance between the areas of fish--it's about twenty miles with signs of albies throughout. The weather is good--less than 15 knots of wind and a 4-6 foot swell. Hopefully we can get the fish located early...... Read More
