Channel Islands Sportfishing
Another day another fillet. The islands are producing some good quality fish right now form the reds to the butts. The Pacific Islander and Seabiscuit were on an outer island freezer-filling mission. They had limit style fishing today for big reds, grumpy grouper and tasty chucks. The lingcod also bit hard today with the Pacific Islander putting 25 legal lings in the sacks. The Island Tak and Sea Jay had a fun day playing with the sport-coats with Captain Fuqua putting a seabass and halibut on deck as well. The Erna B and Gentleman were on a ¾ day trip with the Gent scoring a few barracuda and the Erna B having fun with a number of grumpy sand bass. The Speed Twin hit the bottom fish hard today on their extended ½ day run with a few cabs, sculpin and ling in the mix. The Mirage was on a special ½ day run loaded with an excited bunch of visually impaired kids from the Brail Institute. They scored 98 rockfish and 9 toad sand bass for the day. The water is warm and the fishing is great, get your gear ready and lets go fishing!
