"Another good day of fishing," noted Red Rooster III skipper Andy Cates July 30, "with all the boats getting good action. We had another good day that included an all-afternoon drift for Blue fin and yellowfin. The weather was good today and looks to be nice tomorrow.
"Make sure you bring some 25-pound test for the long bluefin drifts. The guys with the 25 definitely had the most action on the long drifts. "Tomorrow we are going to spend the day looking for kelps. Yellowtail and dorado would give a great end to the trip
"Bluefin Jim wants to thank the sponsors and so do the passengers on the Red Rooster 3: Shimano reels, Salas lures, Izorline, Big Hammer lures, Lead Masters, Irvine Lake, Bass Knuckles, Aaron Lee."
